We offer services for veterans and holders of the Gold Card or White Card with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).

Eligible services

Whether treatment can be carried out with or without the DVA’s approval depends on the type of treatment required. Many general dental treatments including examinations, x-rays, temporary crowns usually do not require approval, whereas, surgical procedures such as dental implants, dental prosthesis i.e. crowns and bridges may be delayed until approved by the DVA.

Gold Card holders

Usually receive full funding for their dental treatment (which requires the dentist to provide a clinical need for treatment).

White Card holders

Only services in line with their recognised conditions are funded. For further enquiries about the DVA dental care program, please contact 133 254 (Metropolitan callers) / 1800 555 254 (Regional callers) or email generalenquiries@dva.gov.au.
